What is Wedding Videography?
People sometimes ask me, what is wedding videography? "Don't you just sit there and point a camera?". Well, the answer is no, I don't. Wedding videography is more than capturing a long continuous roll of your ceremony and reception, which you will likely never watch again. Although I can do that, if you like, I find the couples I work with tend to like the short highlight videos more.
In most weddings, I will be there from the beginning of the day, to the end of the day, filming everything. Then, I go to my computer and compile a 5-minute highlight of the entire day. My goal is to not only capture the day itself, but tell your love story. I want the video to capture everything you loved about that day, and bring you back to those special moments.
Some people also like the additional 1-minute Instagram video, which I can do. This is an easy way for people to share with their friends and family the best moments from their special day.
Wedding videography is a very broad industry, and you may not know exactly what you want. If you are getting married, and you don't know what you want, talk to me. I'd love to sit down and just chat to flush out those ideas, and figure out what will be best at your wedding.
